Apple Blossom, Malus domestica

Walking into my parents’ house, you pass beneath an apple tree. Apple blossom will always represent home to me, and wherever I live, I make sure there is an apple tree growing in the garden.

Part of my series of small botanical studies, Apple Blossom is a 9 colour screenprint, individually hand registered and printed by me. Printing onto dark matt Colorplan card allows the layers of ink to shine against the surface, creating a beautiful depth of colour.
