Introducing our limited edition botanical screenprint of the beautiful wild flower Chicory, Cichorium intybus, which grows along the hedgerows throughout the Cotswolds. This contemporary botanical print features the striking blue flowers set against a deep navy background, creating a stunning contrast. Each print is hand-printed with care and attention to detail, making it a unique and special addition to any art collection.
Chicory, Cichorium intybus:
A parent of cultivated chicory, related to Dandelions. The thick roots are used to make a Camp coffee. It has wiry, branching upright stems with numerous blue flowers distributed along the branches, growing tight to the stem, flowering throughout summer. The flowers open in sunlight, but close in wet weather.
A new vibrant series of plant studies on A5 card from G.F Smith. Printing on to the dark matt card makes the paint layers shine creating a beautiful effect. They are all editioned and signed on the back.
