As an artist, I am fascinated by the history of plants and flowers. The Iris flower has been represented in artwork stemming back to the Egyptians and Anicent Greeks. The Greek Goddess Iris, was the messenger of the gods and the personification of the rainbow. The meaning of the Iris flower has come to include faith, hope, and wisdom, which I find very appropriate in these current circumstances, with the world in lock-down.
